World History

Studying history helps us understand how events happened in the past, and learn their impacts on our present societies. The goal of this class is to help students develop the ability to avoid mistakes and create better paths for our societies. In this class, students will explore several different ancient civilizations, including Egypt, (The new kingdom and Ptolemaic Egypt), the Americas (The indigenous tribes and South American Empires), and Rome (The Punic Wars, Julius Caesar, and the fall of Rome). Through the class. students will develop critical thinking skills to consider facts, and make connections to other events. They will engage in discussions and obtain debate skills to help them talk in any conversation.
