Kiko YoshihiraFounder, Current Events Instructor
Kiko is a senior at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South. Her passion for teaching kids sparked when she taught science classes to younger students. When classes were canceled due to the coronavirus, she felt the need to encourage students to learn and connect with each other and chose to found Project Engage NJ. At Project Engage NJ, she hopes to connect children during these uncertain times and encourage their curiosity for learning.

Nandika KarnikFounding Board Member, Java Instructor
Nandika is a senior at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South. She has always had an interest in teaching those younger than her and helping them pursue their passion and enjoy learning. Through Project Engage NJ, she hopes to encourage kids in her community to engage in a variety of activities, connect with other people their age, and inspire them to begin a lifelong journey of expanding their knowledge.

David Chen Board Director
David is currently a sophomore in Lawrenceville Preparatory School. Since middle school, he has been teaching both the Current Events and Video Editing/Photoshop classes for Project Engage NJ. During freshmen year he became board director of Project Engage NJ and he has been passionate about utilizing his NPO expertise to manage the organization and create intuitive classes for students. He has been heavily involved with fundraising events, website management, finance, outreach, and developing the future of the organization. David has also previously worked AYLUS to garner NPO resources and he is very passionate about using this experience to give back to his community. Through Project Engage NJ, David hopes to help provide for the community and ensure that any student, no matter their financial background, can have access to abundant education. |
